Cultural-Historical
Up until 1918, Hofburg was the Royal Palace. The palace continues to be Austria's centre of government. The Palace is a mixture of periods and styles, much of it rich Baroque from the 17th and 18th centuries. Don't skip the Stallburg Renaissance wing where the Lipizzaners, a popular dancing horse, are stabled.
