Description

In the United States, the Hirshhorn Museum is devoted to contemporary and modern art. It was originally planned by architect Gordon Bunshaft to house a legacy of 6,000 artworks by Joseph Hirsh horn, a financier. A four-acre, two-level sculpture garden surrounds the museum with works by Henry Moore, Alexander Calder, and, more recently, Jeff Koons.
