Description

The Hillbrow Tower stands at 883 feet and has for 40 years held the distinction of the tallest tower in Africa. Technically, the building is named Telkom Jo'burg Tower, after the telecommunications firm. The tower was once one of the main tourist attractions in the area, and one of its top floors also had a rotating restaurant. It was adorned during the 2010 World Cup with an immense soccer ball.
