Cultural-Historical
For the famous British TV show Downton Abbey, Highclere Castle is the shooting place. George Herbert, the eighth Earl of Carnarvon, owns the farm. Sir Charles Barry, the architect, restored the castle between 1839 and 1842. The farm occupies more than 5,000 acres of largely parkland, set in the rolling green hills of Hampshire.
