Description

Helsinki Zoo (Korkeasaari) is Finland's largest and one of the world's oldest zoos. Set on a 52-acre island that acted as a military base during the Crimean War, monkeys, bears, camels, reptiles and more are housed in the hilly zoo. The species are geographically separated into the regions of Amazonia, Africasia and Borealia, renowned for their pioneering work with giant cats and snow leopards.
