Hawa Mahal was built by poet-king Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799, or Palace of Winds. With rows of perforated screens and walls, the five floors of pink sandstone are just one room wide. For an overhead view of the City Palace on one side and Siredeori Bazaar on the other, tourists can ascend to the rooftop.
