The cultural center of the Royal City is Hanoi's Old Quarter. The Cathedral of St. Joseph rings out its bells for regular mass. Silver, ladder, silk, cloth, and ladder are all used to produce crafts. Streets are named for the crafts produced there. For almost 2,000 years, the Old Quarter has become the heart of Hanoi.
