Description

The Tripitaka Koreana, one of the most complete collections of Buddhist texts in the world, is housed at Haeinsa Temple. The temple is one of the most beautiful in South Korea, situated in the National Gayasan Park. The Tripitsa Koreana comprises 81,000 holy religious works engraved between 1237 and 1248 on wooden blocks. The buildings of the temples date back to the 15th century and are considered to be works of art.
