Description

In Bali, Indonesia, Goa Gajah is a small cave. It is believed that it once acted as a refuge for meditating or even resting for Hindu priests. The entrance to the cave is carved in the form of a demonic creature's gaping mouth. There are more recently excavated decorative swimming pools in the courtyard just outside the tunnel, decorated with carvings of partly clothed females pouring water from urns.
