Cultural-Historical, Monument
For Jews boarding trains to Auschwitz, Plac Zgody was the exit point during World War II. In remembrance of the Jewish deportees, it has since been dubbed Ghetto Heroes Square. Crafted by local architects Piotr Lewicki and Kazimierz Latak, it now acts as a monument to the Krakow Jews. 70 empty chairs set at regular intervals are part of the memorial.
