From 1917 to 1934, Mahatma Gandhi lived at the Mani Bhavan in Mumbai. The grand mansion in the Gujarati style is now a museum. Via dioramas, papers, photographs, letters and memorabilia, the museum exhibits Gandhi's life. The minimalist space where Gandhi slept, with its floor mattress, low tables and tiled floor, can be seen most poignantly.
