Cultural-Historical
The most prominent classical site in the world is the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Acropolis. Called after the mythical King Erechtheus, the temple was built between 420 and 406 BC on the north side of Acropolis Hill. It is best known for its ornate Caryatids' porch, set on a slope and facing six Ionic columns.
