Description

In 1421, the mosque was finished and deemed to be the finest constructed in Cairo. With a dome and two minarets, it is one of the best examples of Mamluk architecture in Egypt. It has elaborate stone carvings, bronze doors, tile inlaid designs, and a ceiling with a decorated floral motif.
