Description

El Capitan was part of the original Hollywood theater district of Charles E. Toberman and Sid Grauman. The theatre was bought in 1989 by the Walt Disney Company. It was returned to the splendor of its original Spanish Colonial Restoration, and reopened under its original name in 1991. It is also used mainly to host Disney films' premieres and special runs.
