Description

The first Hollywood theater to hold a national film premiere was the Egyptian Theatre (The Ten Commandments, 1922). The theater is famous for its pre-screening of live shows by Sid Grauman himself. My Fair Lady and Ben-Hur are two of the most famous films in theaters. L.A. created the Egyptian Charles E. Toberman and SidGrauman, the real estate giants.
