Cultural-Historical, Religious
The Synagogue of Dohny Street is Europe's oldest operating synagogue. It was built in the 18th century on the edge of the city's Jewish Ghetto. The organs and the acoustics of the grand space make it a common concert place for the synagogue. The synagogue played a role in WWII's dreadful events, as it acted as a refuge for the Jews of the area.
