Cultural-Historical
Delphi is Greece's second-most significant archeological center. Established around the 7th century BC, it was the God of Apollo's sanctuary. In the ancient world, the Oracle of Delphi was the most trusted oracle by which the spirit of Apollo offered guidance. As well as the oracle, Delphi had a theater and temples, and a well-preserved arena that once hosted chariot races.
