Description

The tallest building in Austria is the Danube Tower, also known as Donauturm. It was opened in 1964 and stands on the north side of the Danube River in the Donaustadt district of Vienna. In just 35 seconds, two high speed elevators whisk 14 passengers each up to the observation deck. The observation deck is an open-air platform, while glass panes are behind the restaurant and café.
