The Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan, built in 1811, is one of Russia's most prominent cathedrals. The construction of the cathedral took 10 years and is 203 foot high (62 meters). It was finished in time for the coronation of the Russian Tsar in 1813. Many historical activities have taken place on the site, including the wedding of the Tsesarevish Pavel Petrovichs and the celebration of many military victories.
