Description

Carol Park (Liberty Park) was designed to commemorate the jubilee of King Carol I by the French artist Eduard Redont. The park is one of the oldest in Bucharest and has a history dating back to the early 1900s. It is home to the Mausoleum, originally constructed and later turned into a WWI memorial as a communist monument. The early 20th-century Tepes Castle and a series of sculptures provide additional highlights.
