Description

The Buenos Aires Botanical Garden opened in 1898, based on a design by the French architect Carlos Thays, in the heart of the Palermo neighborhood. The national monument currently covers 18 acres (7 hectares) of gardens with some 5,500 plant species from six continents: Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas.
A Roman garden, designed by Carlos Thays in the style of early Christian gardens, as well as a French garden, are highlights of the green room.
