Description

Established in 1871, one of the oldest high courts in India is the Bombay High Court. English contractors and a Parsi subcontractor designed it. The Parsi lost his appeal in court, and a monkey with a bandage over one eye and carrying unbalanced scales of justice was sculpted in retaliation. A stunning example of Gothic revival architecture, the court remains.
