In the fourth century B.C, the Bodrum Amphitheater was built. During King Mausolus's rule. The 13,000-seat amphitheatre is one of Anatolia's oldest. It is renowned for its excellent acoustics and panoramic views of the modern-day town of Bodrum, neighboring Gumbet and the area around it.
