Beomeosa Temple has a history dating back to its establishment by the Buddhist monk Ui Sang in 678 CE. Established in 1713, the present temple complex contains a pagoda, several pavilions and 11 hermitages. In Korea, the temple is one of many that requires temple visits, enabling tourists to observe Buddhist monastic life firsthand.
