Description

King Leopold II commissioned Avenue Louise in 1847 to provide access to the field of Bois de la Cambre. It was named after Princess Louise, his daughter, and now serves as the main street in the heart of Brussels. The elegant thoroughfare that runs parallel to the Boulevard de Waterloo lines the Belgian and foreign designer labels. The avenue is also home to some of the tallest office buildings in the area.
