Description

Although Sydney tourists have the chance to travel into the outback in search of the natural wonders of Australia, the Australian Museum, situated in the heart of the central business district of Sydney, makes it much easier to get close to the wild. Walk through air-conditioned hallways packed with more than 40,000 objects, including samples of unique aboriginal minerals and exotic tropical artifacts.
An all-access pass provides entrance to many more galleries packed with ancient archaeological wonders and Australian indigenous artifacts. Famous cultural exhibitions also dig extensively into the ancestral origins of the country and relate contemporary time to the past far away. Fans of animals should be sure to check out the eccentric exhibit Surviving Australia, which displays the strange and wild country across six different sections that highlight animal adaptation and survival.
