The Anne Frank House is a museum devoted to the life of the Jewish girl from the Netherlands who wrote her famous journal. Until near to the end of World War II, Otto Frank used the house as a hideaway for his relatives. During the day, in the achterhuis, also known as the underground annex, the Franks experienced complete silence before being betrayed and sent to their deaths.
