Description

The Agora of Athens is the center of the ancient city of Athens in political and social terms. The ruins are known to be the best-preserved example of the ancient Agora of Greece. Peisistratus originally mapped out the vast region in the 6th century BC. An intricate irrigation scheme, a series of fountains and a temple dedicated to the Olympian Gods were included.
